What is an individual renovation roadmap?
The individual renovation roadmap (iSFP) was introduced by the federal government in 2017 and is your strategic plan for energy-efficient renovation. A dena-listed energy efficiency expert analyses the condition of your building on site – insulation, windows, heating and ventilation.
The result is a clearly presented plan with prioritised, chronologically ordered renovation measures: you see exactly which measure makes sense and when, what it costs, how much energy it saves and which funding is available for it. The iSFP is the basis for many funding applications – and brings 5 % additional BEG funding on every individual measure implemented from it.

What does an iSFP cost – and what does the state pay?
BAFA funds the preparation of the individual renovation roadmap with 50 % of the cost. This keeps your own contribution low – we'll tell you the exact amount for your building in the free initial consultation. In addition, you receive a 5 % iSFP bonus on the BEG funding for every individual measure implemented. In many cases the iSFP pays for itself several times over through this funding bonus alone.

Frequently asked questions about the renovation roadmap
The iSFP is an official advisory document prepared by a dena-listed energy efficiency expert. It shows step by step the order in which you should renovate your building for energy efficiency, what the measures cost and save – and which funding is available.
On two levels: first, BAFA covers 50 % of the cost of preparing the iSFP. Second, you receive 5 percentage points of additional BEG funding on every individual measure you implement from the roadmap. Especially with several measures, this quickly adds up to several thousand euros.
Thanks to the 50 % BAFA grant, your own contribution stays low. The exact price depends on the size and condition of your property – we'll tell you the specific amount in the free initial consultation. Often the iSFP already pays for itself through the 5 % funding bonus.
