Frequently asked questions about screed
Standard cement screed requires approx. 1 day drying time per mm thickness, so 60 mm takes about 60 days. Anhydrite screed is faster: approx. 28 days for 50 mm. Rapid screed can be covered after just 24–48 hours.
Cement screed typically costs €20–35 per m² including materials and installation. Anhydrite flow screed is €22–38 per m². Rapid screed is €30–50 per m². We provide a concrete quote after a site visit.
Yes – during laying and the first 24–48 hours of drying the apartment should not be entered. For large areas, limited use is often possible again after 1–2 days.
Anhydrite flow screed is particularly well suited: it flows around the heating pipes completely and has good thermal conductivity. As a Montali customer, heating and screed are matched to each other from the start.
