The basic BEG grant is 30 % of eligible costs, plus a climate-speed bonus of 16 % for owner-occupiers and an income-based bonus of up to 40 %. Combined, up to 80 % is possible – capped at €28,000 in eligible costs for the first dwelling unit. The efficiency bonus for heat pumps was abolished in the July 2026 reform.
